Welcome to The Gate: A New Level of Horror

"You have been abducted by a cult, one who worships dark forces, forces beyond their understanding... they have opened a gate to an underworld and with it come devious, dangerous demons, demanding sacrifices."

Sounds creepy? Well, it is. In this adult-only escape room your team will be split into two, blindfolded, and led into separate areas. You will need to find out how to communicate and work as a divided group to try and escape within the 60 minute time limit.

Large Scale Intensity

You will be surrounded by creepy sound effects and environments designed to make your skin crawl. Literal crawling is required as you try and progress through this large scale experience. The Gate is more than three times the size of our other rooms and features a difficulty level to match.

Every experience at Escapism is built with a purpose. The Gate has been crafted as our main horror experience with a greater focus on teamwork - while your group is split up, you'll need to work more closely than ever to succeed and get to the end. This room is a significant step up horror wise, from our Zombie Bite room (which focused mainly on a realistic environment and logical puzzles) - in The Gate, you'll find a creepy environment, disturbing props and new levels of interactivity.

New Tech and Challenging Gameplay

In The Gate, there are plenty of surprises and an environment meant to keep you on edge. We have introduced new electronic features thanks to tech we have co-developed (the 'eDrive') to create a more interactive and reactive experience. You'll also find this a steep challenge, as you won't know how much more you'll need to complete, as both teams will remain divided... at least for a while... One of our recent groups finished the game with a comment of "That was intense!"

Players cannot work alone in this experience. You must work together, as each team in the split group gameplay always needs something the other team has - an item or information. Without total cooperation, you cannot progress. You must keep up the communication, pass items around, and tell your partners exactly what you can see - as they can't access the places you can...

This experience requires a minimum of three adults to play. It is an awesomely different game from anything else we currently offer and a very memorable experience, sure to create lots of post-game-chat and debates.
