We Did It! Escapism is the Number One Escape Room in Auckland

Firstly, I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has played our escape rooms. For some of you, it is quite a drive across Auckland to get here, and we truly appreciate the effort you make to give us a go! I am so pleased that our hard work has turned into such a popular attraction. The fact that more than 30% of our visitors are returning customers or referrals says a lot about the impression we are leaving, and that always puts a smile on my face.

With over 800 five-star reviews, we are currently the only 5-star Google-rated escape room business in New Zealand. We somehow reached this milestone in less than two years, which is a surprise even for me!

When we started Escapism, we didn't want to build "lock-and-key" rooms with cheap wallpaper and a few scattered props. We wanted to create truly immersive environments. Today, every room we offer is different - some are more detailed and story-driven than others, as every experience is built with a unique purpose - but overall, we reached our goal of offering a premium experience, and the review count reflects that.

The most important pieces of the puzzle for continued success is simply listening to you, the players. We make a real effort to ensure everyone feels comfortable, and when time allows, we love having a solid post-game chat. As with every business, we have a few less-than-positive reviews, critiques along the way, or experiences that missed the mark, but that is actually where some of our magic happens. If someone doesn't have a good time, we learn from it and get better. We have been committed to that cycle of continuous improvement every day, every month, since we opened in August 2024.
