Escapism is Now Officially New Zealand Made – and Proud of It

We’re excited to share that Escapism has officially joined the Buy New Zealand Made campaign – and we’re proud to be the first escape room company in New Zealand to carry the 'New Zealand Made' mark.

From day one, we’ve built every part of our escape room experiences in-house. We design the puzzles, write the stories and build many of the props and even code the software. That choice was always about trying to produce the very best experience we could, something original, something different, something you truly can’t experience anywhere else in the world.

And it’s working. In our first year, we’ve received over 600 five-star Google reviews. The feedback has been awesome, and it's clear that people notice the difference when something is made with purpose, care and perhaps even a bit of the weird Escapism flair.

When we heard that the Buy NZ Made programme now includes service-based businesses, we jumped at the opportunity. It just made sense. We’ve always been proud to do things locally – and now we can wear that with an official stamp.

Buy New Zealand Made has been supporting Kiwi businesses for over 35 years, encouraging people to shop and support local. As a small business ourselves, we absolutely believe in that message. It’s not just about what we’re building here at Escapism – it’s about the whole community.

That’s why we’re also working with other local businesses here on the Hibiscus Coast. One way we’re doing that is through www.adventuresonthehibiscuscoast.com, a tourism site we created to showcase all the awesome things to do in the area. Our goal is simple – to help more people discover the Coast, support local and have a great time doing it.
